The latest revision of 467 allows testing for solvents that one expects could be present in the sample. If a solvent is never used anywhere in the manufacturing process one doesn’t need to test for it. This takes the scope of Chapter 467 for any individual customer from covering all possible solvents to only the ones that are used or possible to be present. Keep in mind that possible solvents may be impurities in other solvents or compounds. For example, benzene may not be used in the process but if toluene is used then benzene may be a contaminant in toluene and therefore benzene should be tested for also.
