AN-1012: USP Tadalafil Assay on Luna 5 µm C8(2) and Kinetex 5 µm C8

Abstract:

Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme (PDE-5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction and symptoms associated with enlarged prostate (BPH). Tadalafil is the generic drug of the brand name drug Cialis® (Eli Lilly). This application note for the LC-UV assay for Tadalafil drug substance is based on the official USP assay method which calls for an L7 (C8) 5 µm, 250 x 4.6 mm column under isocratic conditions.
