Reversed Phase HPLC Separation of Cephalosporins on a Kinetex 5 μm F5 Column

Abstract:

This application illustrates the use of the versatile Kinetex 5 μm F5 for the complete separation of all compounds. The core-shell 5 μm particle provides excellent HPLC efficiency at very low HPLC pressures, while the five retention mechanisms (hydrophobic, aromatic, electrostatic, planar, hydrogen bonding) associated with the pentafluorophenyl F5 phase deliver the excellent separation seen below.
