Abstract:
Sample preparation is an integral step in any analysis. The lack of proper sample preparation in food analysis can lead to major instrumentation and analytical challenges downstream. However, a substantial amount of time may be required to develop or optimize a sample preparation method. In this technical note, we will evaluate the use of two sample preparation techniques commonly used in food analysis, QuEChERS and Solid Phase Extraction (SPE).
