Torrance, Calif. (February 22, 2021) – Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, announces the launch of the bioZen Nano 75 µm LC Columns to the existing portfolio of bioZen biological workflow products. The New bioZen Nano Columns offers a powerful combination two advanced particle platforms, three unique column chemistries, and fully integrated SecurityLINK Fitting Technology for a zero-dead volume connection.
The highly efficiency core-shell and thermally modified particles were individually designed and built by Phenomenex to take advantage of integral levels of performance, ruggedness, and reproducibility for omics applications. Individually, each platform differs in the proprietary processing techniques used to control particle size and morphology. bioZen Nano’s portfolio also includes multiple selectivity options which allows our customer to tailor their chromatography to their compound of interest.
Each bioZen Nano comes fully equipped with an integrated SecurityLINK fingertight fitting system which simplifies Nano system connections while providing consistent performance through Torque Limiting Technology that prevents overtightening or undertightening making every connection leak-free.
“bioZen Nano meets the stringent demands of LC-MS protein/peptide identification of omics analysis by using a novel fitting hardware and advanced column chemistries build around Phenomenex’s particle technology to ensure our product meets the highest data quality and sensitivity standards.” says Jason Anspach, PhD, Global Product Manager HPLC at Phenomenex.
In addition to bioZen Nano, the bioZen product portfolio features seven additional chemistries for the UHPLC and HPLC characterization of biotherapeutics such as monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and biosimilars. bioZen also includes two sample preparation solutions for released N-glycans and immunocapture. As an added benefit, all bioZen LC columns are available in biocompatible titanium hardware, which minimizes secondary reactions, carryover, and other recovery issues to provide better overall reproducibility than traditional stainless-steel hardware. It also minimizes the amount of time typically spent on column priming and does not interfere with protein, peptide, or oligonucleotide integrity. With a comprehensive biological chromatography portfolio, Phenomenex offers complete, reproducible and reliable solutions for bioseparation laboratories, including a quality guarantee and a whole team of bioseparation experts ready to assist our customers.
