Torrance, CA (February 8, 2017) – Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, announces the publication of a new food testing guide to help the industry meet increasing demands for quality and safety testing and adhere to the guidelines of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The 160-page guide presents more than 150 applications using HPLC, LC/MS, UHPLC/MS, GC, GC/MS and sample preparation techniques and covers a wide range of compound classes including contaminants, mycotoxins, pesticides, veterinary pharmaceuticals, sugars, dietary supplements and vitamins, along with new GC tools for fast fatty acids analysis. The guide is available to view or download at: http://www.phenomenex.com/FTguide
"FSMA mandates a 'science-based' approach to food testing," said Allen Misa, industry marketing manager for Phenomenex. "New and improved chromatographic methods have been driving much of the modernization in this field, and Phenomenex stands ready to lead with the largest range of applications and a broad selection of products for food testing labs."
The new Phenomenex guide includes useful tools and resources to help analysts select the most appropriate technique for any sample type. It also addresses methods for challenging matrices such as animal feed, seafood, dairy products, bread and wheat products and meat.
"Phenomenex maintains a commitment to the growing food testing industry and we are rapidly expanding our portfolio with new technologies, format options and improvements to meet their needs," commented Misa. "We also offer free method development support and guidance for all of our product areas." Phenomenex products for food safety and quality testing are guaranteed to deliver equal or superior separations compared to other products of the same phase and dimension.
